Felixstowe and Walton 1 Tilbury 1 (Att 351)

Felixstowe and Tilbury shared the spoils in a hard fought battle on the coast, with the referee taking centre stage with some big calls. The result sees the Dockers unbeatenin four games and conceding just once.
Tilbury went into the game with an unchanged line up and started well with a succession of corners. The home side grew into the game and saw Callum Bennett hit a low effort wide before some good build up play, denied by Rhys Madden.
Tilbury had a good chance on 13 when Tom Anderson brought the ball down well and saw his bullet effort well saved by Jack Spurling. Spurling was again in the thick of the action on 16 when a quick free kick by Oli Spooner found Lewis Smith, but was denied by a fine save. It took until the 40th minute for more goalmouth action when Lewis Smith dispossessed a defender and shot across goal and Tilbury started to dominate.
Just 2 minutes later, they were rewarded when George Sykes beat a defender crossed for Lewis Smith to hit home.
The home side came out stronger after the break when Miles Powell chipped Rhys Madden from distance, but went just over. It was Powell who scored on 57 when he met a cross that was parried by Rhys Madden and headed into the net.
The game was then littered with fouls and little flow to the game. On 80 Powell's free kick was punched away by Madden and Tilbury then attacked immediately with both George Sykes and Lewis Smith hitting wide of the goal in the space of 30 seconds.
In the final minute Felixstowe looked to be denied by a certain penalty, which bizarrely was waved away by the under pressure referee.
The result sees Tilburymove up one place to 7th.
Tilbury are back in action next Saturday when the Dockers welcome local rivals Grays Athletic to Chadfields. 3.00pm kick off.

Tilbury: Madden, Boswell, Ramsey (Burgess 67), Anderson, Salami, Akins, Gilbey, Barton, Sykes, Spooner(Cumming 85), and Smith
